Pencarrow Road

The focus for Monique Murphy from Imagine Landscape Design when designing this project was to ensure the style of the landscaping complemented the 1970s  home and to link the upper level entrance driveway to the lower entertaining area.

A paved pad at the top of the sleeper steps leads from the driveway.  Existing pavers were repurposed in the steps with sleeper rises keeping the continuity.  

At the bottom of the steps the entertainment area opens out.  A Nikau palm, planted by the client is perfectly centred and draws the eye through the pergola towards the pool area.  

The existing pergola, supporting a beautiful and treasured wisteria needed repairs, so after carefully pealing the wisteria back, the pergola was rebuilt and painted before returning the creeper to its new home.  The paved patio under the pergola was relayed and a dedicated paved entertaining area was created with surrounding  sleeper raised gardens and  planting that created a cosy space and compliments the paddocks in the background.  The client installed a louvre pergola over the dining table that has completed the look.
